From the invention of Cinema to the Lybian War (1896/1912)
From the first attempts of the Lumière brothers to the first prohibited films. The filmed chronicles of the first cameramen witness the last years of the Belle Epoque, enabling us to see the first flights of the Wright brothers while getting to know the arts, culture, sports, fashion and showbusiness at the beginning of our century, the European politicians and royal families of the time, and also the everyday life of common people and the first social unrests. Some brave cameramen following the Italian army in Lybia shot the war in that country, which was one of the first filmed conflicts. All these events are collected, selected and kept in our Historical Films Archive.
